We are looking for a professional Instructional Designer to design and develop learning experiences. The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and appealing manner.

Join our unique team and work on exciting projects for top corporate clients. Each project is about deeply understanding client needs, identifying opportunities for breakthrough and translating this into exceptional design and outcomes. The role is on a contract basis with ongoing involvement in different projects as they arise.

You will have a strong understanding of transformational design complimented by a focused commercial approach to work and a consultative mentality.

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content
  • Work with subject matter experts to identify target audience’s training needs
  • State instructional end goals and create content
  • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
  • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
  • Provide exercises and activities to enhance the learning process
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
  • Decide on the criteria used to assess learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders
  • Revise and rewrite content to shape it for learning needs
  • Adapt instructional materials created for one format to another format

Skills & Experience

  • Degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar
  • Proven working experience in instructional design
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Visual design skills ( Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
  • Have a strong grounding in the end to end development of transformational interventions, underpinned by a deep understanding of adult learning and instructional design principles
  • A consultative approach to work
  • A track record of managing projects successfully

We are looking for a super organized, energetic, and enthusiastic person, with a high attention to detail. We offer the ability to be part of an exciting start-up operation with a very experienced, highly motivated, and well credentialed leadership team, with a clear vision and plan for the future.
Our internship is for a minimum for 3 months, however can go for up to 12 months. We are very flexible with hours/days and can discuss to suit your schedule.

You will gain exposure to the some of the following areas:

  • Online and off-line marketing activities
  • Client database marketing and management
  • Internet Market Research
  • Social media and digital marketing
  • Creation of marketing blog and monthly e-newsletters

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Highly energetic and motivated to achieve
